22nd International Dialogue on Population and Sustainable Development

MANY VOICES, ONE VISION. UNITED FOR SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS
In 2025, global health is at a crossroads. Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) are under increased pressure from collapsing health systems, shrinking aid budgets, and attacks from rising anti-rights sentiment, and growing criminalization of LGBTIQ+ communities. Sexual and gender-based violence, especially in conflict-affected and displaced populations, remains widespread. These challenges are threatening to undo decades of progress built since the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). Yet, despite the backlash, the global commitment to SRHR remains strong, with advocates and human rights defenders actively pushing back against regressive forces and innovation continuing to drive new solutions in service delivery, reproductive technologies, and financing.
